ABOUT US
Abhayam is a registered Society based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Right from its inception it has been providing care and support to the senile and orphans.
Many middle class, poor families in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are unable to provide proper shelter and food for their parents due to various reasons.
For these people we are providing all such needs. To offer quality care and professional Support to the vulnerable old people and orphans, a few colleagues came up with an idea for a service –oriented, non –profitable Society, ‘Abhayam Society’ in 2012.
The success of the project will be achieved only when beneficiaries are identified through a thorough assessment.
The target beneficiaries are elderly individuals from vulnerable sections of society, particularly those facing social, health, or financial challenges.
Identification of Beneficiaries
Social Problems
- Elderly individuals neglected by their families.
- Inadequate access to healthcare and nutritious food.
- Seniors living below the poverty line.
Criteria for selection
Individuals aged sixty and above.
Relationship with family members and the community.
Preference for living independently with others in similar circumstances.
Core Target Group of the Project
Senior citizens abandoned or deserted by their families and relatives, left uncared for.
Elderly survivors of war or natural disasters who have become homeless and lack social and economic support.
Partially physically handicapped seniors who choose not to live with their families for various reasons.
